The blueberry donut has definitely grown on me over the years. It is kind of perfection after brunch at Wu's nearby. The coffee is still gross, though.

Of all the artisan donut places in New York, I think donut plant might be my second favorite spot. They've got a nice array of donuts that they seem to change around seasonly as well as decor that seems to change seasonly also. On a recent visit to the Lower East Side Donut Plant, I reserved my snowman Donut and coffee cake donut as I had previously encountered issues with shortages on what I wanted due to the timing of when I had stopped by a particular donut. The coffee cake donut was tasty and very moist. I would recommend. The snowman donut to my surprise was not made with coconut as it was in the previous holiday season but with white chocolate. I then remembered that unlike other donut spots, Donut Plant changes up their donuts from time to time. The service was quick and friendly.

Wow, this place is probably one of the best donut places I have ever been to. The selection is out of this world. We tried the strawberry glazed donut the signature crème brûlée the vanilla bean, glazed donut, and the holiday Hanukkah doughnut. All of them were simply divine. We also had an iced and a hot vanilla latte. The lattes were made with fresh vanilla beans and were absolutely delicious and very smooth. Can I wait to go back to try. The atmosphere is super chill and cozy.

Folks just take my word for it these donut maker are superior with the flavor of their craftabilities in making these donut. Moist, soft and heavenly. Just do it and try their donuts but please leave at least one of the above mentioned 3 for me.

I go to New York City once year: My co-workers and I take a group of theater students, we see 8 broadways shows, I get a carrot cake donut at the Doughnut Plant in Grand Central Station, and I'm a happy girl for one more year. I always have a good experience! I get my favorite, and then something new. Everything I've ever tried there has been phenomenal. (This time is was a coffee cake doughnut - it was inspired! SO good!) If Doughnut Plant moved its location to the moon, I'd probably just start taking my theater students there instead, just so I hold get my yearly taste test at Doughnut Plant.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!!! First and foremost, I had the pleasure of coming here and meeting Sha the manager and she was truly the best. She provided her recommendations and bared with my group as we debated what donuts. I got several donuts but the winner is the carrot cake donut!!!!! HOLY GRAIL OF DONUTS, recommended by Sha. I literally ordered the creme brulee, the blueberry, the vanilla, tres leches and coffee cake but had to get the carrot cake after her recommendation and I AM GRATEFUL. It was delicious. The location is super clean and you can see the kitchen which I always appreciate. If you are in the area, STOP HERE AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Mind you, I am not a super fan of donuts but now!?!? I will go here whenever I am in the area and cannot wait to try more flavors!

Read the rave review for this doughnut so I decided to try it. Lots of flavors were still available although I was there late night (after dinner). Brooklyn black out: the doughnut was very dense and it was more like a chocolate cake. It tasted good: just enough chocolate, the dough itself was not too sweet & lots of cookie crumbles on top. Dense doughnut is not my cup of tea but it was a good doughnut

Doughnut Plant is amazing and their wild blueberry cake doughnut is the BEST. It's so flavorful and has a thick but moist inside and a sweet and soft outside. This time I went to check out their Valentine's day doughnuts which had strawberry and rose flavoring. The doughnuts looked so stunning and are on theme! :) Super festive and a great touch for Galentines or any day!

I remember first coming to Doughnut Plant in 2008 when it was still relatively new. It's incredible to see how they've become basically a New York institution at this point. My fiance and I were in Chinatown this weekend and we took a short walk over to get a dessert for the road. He's not from NYC so he'd never heard of Doughnut plant before. It was fun showing him all the different flavors. Their menu is seasonal so they have some flavors that they sell year around like the wild blueberry, but others are only around for a limited time like the coconut snowman my fiance ordered (not pictured). I ordered a peanut butter and blackberry jam doughnut. I adore peanut butter so I knew I'd love that part. What I was less sure about was the jam filling. I don't usually like stuffed doughnuts because I find most tend to be overstuffed, messy and overwhelming but this was good. It wasn't too much and it tasted like I was having a pb&j sandwich almost but better. I do the prices are a bit high to make these a regular indulgence, but they're not much different from other artisanal doughnut shops. If you have a particular flavor in mind you want to try, I recommend coming in early as items do tend to sell out. The good thing is that they do update availability in real time on their website, which can save an unnecessary trip to the store. You can also call ahead before you visit. The shop is small so it isn't somewhere you can really stay to enjoy your doughnuts but they do delivery if pickup isn't available to you.
